Questions

What makes a good font pairing for slides?
A heading font with character and a body font that stays readable at small sizes and from the back of a room. Pairing a serif or display heading with a clean sans body is a reliable choice, and one family in two weights works too.
Are these fonts free to use?
Yes. Every font here is on Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font License, which allows personal and commercial use, including in presentations.
How do I use these fonts in PowerPoint or Google Slides?
In Google Slides, open the font menu, choose More fonts and search the name. For PowerPoint, download the family from Google Fonts and install it on every computer that will open the deck, or the slides fall back to a default font.
How many fonts should a presentation use?
Two is usually enough: one for headings and one for body text. A third, like a monospace for labels or numbers, can work as a small accent.
