Teachers planning one class period around a single concept.
10 slides. Example, names are fictional.
Tips
- 01Open with a question students can argue about before they know the answer.
- 02Show one worked example step by step before any practice.
- 03Name the most common misconception out loud and show why it fails.
- 04End with a one-question exit ticket so you can check understanding before the next lesson.
Questions
- How many slides should a lesson have?
- For a 45 to 60 minute class, 8 to 12 slides is usually enough. Students need time to think, talk and practise, not just read slides.
- What is an exit ticket?
- A short question students answer at the end of a lesson. It shows the teacher who understood the concept and who needs help next time.
- Can I edit these lesson slides in PowerPoint or Google Slides?
- Yes. Edit them in MakeDecks in your browser, then download an editable .pptx that opens in PowerPoint or Google Slides, or a PDF, for free.
Make it yours.
Free. Edit online, download .pptx or PDF.
